We're Hiring! Construction Project Manager

Company Overview

3V Infrastructure is an EV charging infrastructure investor, owner, and operator enabling widespread access to EV charging. Working closely with a trusted network of national technology and deployment partners, 3V builds and operates Level 2 EV chargers in long-dwell properties such as multifamily housing and hotels, eliminating upfront and ongoing costs for real estate portfolio owners and managers including public and private REITs, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), Family Offices, and Private RE Owners.

The 3V team brings deep expertise in EV technology, real estate, construction, operations, energy and public affairs, and is backed by industry leading investors including GDEV Management. With the right combination of technology, infrastructure, and collaboration 3V Infrastructure aims to address the market gap by providing Level 2 chargers to a broader market, unlocking new customers and opportunities.

Job Summary

3V is seeking a Construction Project Manager to own the full project lifecycle for our Level 2 EV charging deployments, from site due diligence through commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and construction management, with a focus on electrical systems and infrastructure development for sustainable energy solutions. This position will involve coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that all projects are completed to high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead the end-to-end delivery of Level 2 EV charging installations at multifamily properties, coordinating design, procurement, and construction activities to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

  • Nationwide Coordination: Manage concurrent deployments across multiple geographies and stakeholders, standardizing execution and ensuring consistent compliance with company standards and applicable codes and regulations.

  • Project Controls and Documentation: Maintain SiteTracker as the system of record for every project, updating the schedule, milestones, budget, and project documents on a daily basis. Track and report against 3V's core project milestones.

  • EPC Partner Management: Coordinate relationships with multiple EPC partners to ensure timely delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact, guiding teams through each phase and ensuring adherence to Work Order scope, schedule, and reporting requirements, including subcontractor and supplier performance.

  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior leadership, property partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide regular progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and any corrective actions taken.

  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Proactively identify challenges and risks, providing effective solutions to keep projects on track. Address technical, logistical, or regulatory issues swiftly, documenting contractor performance issues and escalating internally when they are not resolved.

  • Scheduling and Budget Oversight: Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring each project phase is completed on time and within budget.

  • Site Selection and Assessments: Review site walk documentation and assess each site based on power availability, accessibility, and regulatory requirements. Ensure each site is optimized for both EV charging and resident use.

  • Utility Coordination: Lead coordination with electric utilities across all project phases, including applications, service upgrades, meter installations, and interconnection requirements. Track utility timelines, risks, and status updates.

  • Permitting & Compliance: Own permitting and regulatory compliance end-to-end. Ensure high-quality permit submittals and resubmittals, manage AHJ follow-up through approval, and verify installations meet all applicable requirements, including NEC, building, and ADA standards, as well as incentive program obligations (e.g., IRC 30C prevailing wage/apprenticeship) where applicable.

  • Equipment Procurement and Logistics: Confirm final charger configurations and quantities; route POs for approval; manage lead times, delivery, and receipt to support the construction schedule.

  • Pre-Construction and Construction Oversight: Lead the pre-construction meeting and schedule construction with site level contacts. Oversee construction execution for workmanship quality, safety, adherence to the approved design, and minimal property disruption, and manage inspections and the punch list through to closure.

  • Commissioning and closeout: Oversee commissioning to ensure systems operate as designed and meet specifications; complete closeout, including final documentation, punch-list resolution, and handoff.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience, with a strong background in electrical infrastructure, EV charging, distributed energy, or a closely related field.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.

  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing projects in SiteTracker (preferred) or other project management systems & scheduling tools. This is a working requirement of the role, not a nice to have, and candidates should be able to speak to how they have used the platform(s) to manage schedule, budget, and documentation.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end, multi-site project delivery, proven budget ownership, and the ability to maintain schedule control across multiple states/jurisdictions.

  • Contractor Management: Experience managing EPC or electrical contractors under master agreement and work order structures, including scope enforcement, change orders, and performance accountability.

  • Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings (e.g., one-lines, panel schedules, site plans), with working knowledge of NEC requirements applicable to EV charging circuits and familiarity with applicable local building, electrical, and ADA accessibility requirements.

  • Permitting Expertise: Multi-jurisdiction permitting experience, including AHJ coordination and utility interconnection or metering coordination.

  • Leadership & Communications: Strong communication skills across internal teams, property partners, contractors, and technology vendors, with the judgment to know when to escalate.

  • Work Environment: Experience building scalable PM processes in a high-growth environment; comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced setting

Preferred

  • Prior experience deploying Level 2 EV charging infrastructure, particularly at multifamily or hospitality properties.

  • Experience working across a variety of EV charging hardware and charger management software platforms.

  • Experience coordinating construction at properties managed by national REITs, property management firms, or institutional owners.

  • Familiarity with energy metering, submetering, and charger load management systems and utility coordination in multi-tenant residential or hospitality properties.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Licensed electrician background or field electrical experience.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) plan with company match.

  • Participation in long-term equity incentive plan.

  • Opportunities for career advancement within a growing, mission-driven organization.
