We're Hiring! Manager, Network Operations and Asset Management

Company Overview

3V Infrastructure is an EV charging infrastructure investor, owner, and operator enabling widespread access to EV charging. Working closely with a trusted network of national technology and deployment partners, 3V builds, owns, and operates Level 2 EV chargers in long-dwell properties such as housing and hotels, eliminating upfront and ongoing costs for real estate portfolio owners and managers.

The 3V team brings deep expertise in EV technology, real estate, construction, operations, energy, and public affairs, and is backed by industry-leading investors including GDEV Management. With the right combination of technology, infrastructure, and collaboration, 3V Infrastructure aims to address the market gap by providing Level 2 chargers to a broader market, unlocking new customers and opportunities.

Job Summary

3V is seeking a Manager, Network Operations & Asset Management to own the full operational lifecycle of our Level 2 EV charging portfolio — from the moment a site is commissioned through to the end of each asset’s useful life.

This person serves as the quality gate at commissioning — ensuring hardware, software, and network integrations meet 3V’s standards before accepting the site into the live portfolio. From that point forward, they own the asset entirely: uptime, maintenance, vendor performance, and lifecycle planning. When a charger reaches end of useful life and a replacement or expansion project is initiated, they coordinate with 3V’s project managers, who run the capital project and hand the site back upon completion of the new commissioning.

This person will also play a meaningful role in shaping 3V’s hardware and software strategy — evaluating equipment, maintaining vendor relationships, and helping define the technology standards that govern what we install and how we operate it.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning Interface & Quality Gate

  • Own and maintain 3V's commissioning process and QAQC checklist, coordinating between construction and software vendors to validate hardware installation, software configuration, OCPP connectivity, network communication, and load management setup, and ensuring every site enters the live portfolio meeting 3V's operational standards.

  • Coordinate with hardware and software vendors during commissioning to ensure smooth commissioning and onboarding to the CMS.

  • Maintain commissioning records, as-built documentation, and initial asset condition data in SiteTracker, establishing the baseline for the asset’s operational lifecycle.

Network Operations & Uptime Management

  • Own monitoring of 3V’s Level 2 charging network, working with CMS partners to proactively identify and triage faults, outages, and degraded performance across all sites.

  • Develop and manage a rapid-response maintenance dispatch model, coordinating field service contractors to resolve hardware and connectivity issues with minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues affecting charger communication, remote management, and data reporting.

  • Build and maintain network performance dashboards and KPI reporting, including uptime rates, fault frequency, mean time to repair (MTTR), and SLA compliance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring faults and drive systemic solutions to eliminate repeat failures across the portfolio.

Asset Management & Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own the complete asset lifecycle from live commissioning through end of useful life — including maintenance history, performance trending, condition assessment, and replacement planning.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date asset records in SiteTracker, including equipment specifications, site documentation, maintenance logs, and warranty tracking.

Vendor & Technology Management

  • Source, onboard, and manage O&M vendors and field service contractors; establish performance standards, SLA frameworks, and accountability mechanisms.

  • Negotiate and manage O&M service contracts and the associated O&M budget, ensuring cost-effective coverage across the portfolio.

  • Track vendor performance against SLAs and drive continuous improvement in response times, repair quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Maintain active relationships with 3V’s hardware and software vendors, managing warranty claims, RMA processes, and issue escalation.

  • Inform 3V’s hardware selection decisions by evaluating new equipment against operational performance data from the live network, reliability history, and vendor support quality.

  • Evaluate and provide input on CMS platform capabilities, integration requirements, and long-term fit as the network scales.

  • Help define and maintain 3V’s technology standards — the approved hardware list, software configurations, and integration requirements that govern every new site entering the portfolio.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8 years of experience in network operations, asset management, or O&M within EV charging, distributed energy, telecom infrastructure, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated experience with EVSE hardware, including installation standards, hardware-software integration, commissioning, and field-level troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of OCPP protocols and EV network management systems (CMS platforms).

  • Hands-on experience with load management techniques, including hardware-based approaches and software-based load management.

  • Proficiency with SiteTracker or an equivalent asset/project management platform.

  • Experience managing O&M vendors and field service contractors, including contract negotiation, SLA management, and performance accountability.

  • Experience participating in or owning commissioning or QAQC processes for distributed infrastructure assets.

  • Demonstrated ability to build processes and operational frameworks for scale in a growing or early-stage organization.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; able to build and maintain performance dashboards and use data to drive operational decisions.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills across internal teams, host property partners, contractors, and technology vendors.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced, early-stage company environment where processes must be built, not inherited.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in Level 2 EV charging operations or O&M.

  • Prior experience working across multiple charger management platforms.

  • Experience informing or contributing to hardware or software technology selection decisions for a charging or distributed energy portfolio.

  • Prior experience managing the operational integration of an acquired asset portfolio.

  • Familiarity with energy metering, submetering, and utility coordination in multi-tenant residential or hospitality properties.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses

  • Participation in long-term equity incentive plan

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) plan with company match

  • Professional development and training opportunities

Work Environment

This role is fully remote within the U.S., with occasional travel for company offsites.  Candidates must have reliable internet access.  We have a strong preference for candidates based in the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
